Slippers International is still very much a family business. The origin of their fine slipper-making dates back to their 1930’s ancestors. Nearly 75 years later, they still maintain unsurpassed quality in their slipper making.
Tamarac by Slippers International Women’s Jupiter Slipper Reviews:
I am very happy with these slippers. They are incredibly warm and comfortable and appear to be well made. The red color gives them a unique flare.I got them a full size up so I could wear thick socks underneath, but they are warm enough to go without… They fit perfectly a size up because of all the fluffy padding. 🙂
These are WONDERFUL slippers, and they are a real treat for the feet. I needed a new pair, clicked through hundreds here on Amazon, and I chose these. Boy, am I glad I did. It’s like my feet are inside a cloud of warmth. They are so comfortable and warm I don’t want to take them off. If I could get away with it, I would wear them to work. They have a nice tread on the bottom so they are not slippery, either.I wear a 5, 5 1/2 normally, but I bought the size 6 since there is a sheepskin lining. They fit fine with just a little bit of wiggle room.Did I mention these are warm? I wore them outside to watch the Dec. 21st lunar eclipse. It was about 20 degrees and the rest of me was freezing but my feet were fine the whole time I was out there. If you live in cold area, these will become your favorite winter season slippers.
I put this on and about died. They are softer, more cloudlike and warmer than I could have imagined and look cuter on than I imagined (I thought they look a little elf-like in the pic, but they look good on). I wanted that feel, but didn’t want a big bulky slipper because I like to sit on my knees with my feet folder under me; these feel like huge puffy slippers but don’t look bulky. I normally wear 9, about 20% of the time a 9.5, so I ordered the 9 because I will mostly wear them barefoot, but my feet are slightly wide and I have a square shaped toe box and I was stepping on a big seam on my bigger foot. So, I’ll exchange them for a half size up and hope that will fix the prob.
I returned these after trying them on because there was a three-inch-long bump in the left slipper where the leather had been folded and stitched but wasn’t tucked in, so it poked into the bottom/side of my foot. (I couldn’t see any logical way to tuck it in myself; I would have if I could have.) Or if the footbed had been wider, I might have been able to live with it, but since I’m the type that can’t stand a wrinkle in my socks, these had to go.Too bad, because the right slipper was perfect: they had tucked everything in so nothing was sticking into the foot area.I gave 4 stars because in all other respects, they are really nice – the fluffy stuff felt soft and warm, and I liked that the “tongue” came up to my ankle, yet they were still relatively easy to slip into without a lot of effort.
Good quality, warm and comfy — I bought in wide due to a bunion problem — my heal does not lift away from sole when I walk as it did in my first returned pair. (This is the 3rd pair I ordered of this type of womens’ slipper, so guess 3s the charm.) However, caution, these run a bit short for a 9 (China size), but as I am actually more of an 8.5 I’m okay although my toes are touching the end (they give a little/stretch after 1st wearing) — so, if you wear a 9, better go up a size. Good news is they are a true C width as compared to an earlier pair by another brand that said “wide” but were actually a B width — 2nd pair I returned.
I just received my red sheepskin slippers. They are comfortable and warm. I wear a size 10, but I ordered size 11, and the size 11 fits perfect. If your interested in buying this slipper please go up one size—you won’t be sorry that you did. I also bought the whitish ones. The price is reasonable too. 🙂
Beautiful red color, super plush and cozy/comfy with a sheepskin lining…. wearable soles out & around the yard.. even in a NY winter?? Wow! Not a clumsy, bulky look either; these have great style (perfect for the fashion conscious, as I am)… And the price was remarkably less than other, better-known brands… One of my smarter purchases of 2011.
Super soft and cute in that slightly ugly way. I like these slippers. They won’t keep my feet warm by themselves through the brutal Chicago winter, though. Have to wear some socks with them. I got a size larger based on the other reviews here, but now after wearing them for two months, the inside fuzziness has gone down quite a bit. Still like the larger size for socks, though.
I love these slippers! They are so cute and comfortable! I took the previous reviewers advice and ordered a size up. I am normally a 7 1/2 or 8 and I ordered a 9. They fit fine… maybe a little bit bigger then what I wanted, but I’d rather my slipper be a little bigger than too tight. They are great to wear inside or out and so warm! I will definitly be buying them again when I need new slippers!
These are just what I wanted in a slipper! Keep my feet warm, comfortable, and clean up nicely with just a wipe of a wet cloth. Ordered one size larger, because of the fleece and they fit perfect. Will definately reorder these when they wear out.
