New York City natives and best friends, Seth Campbell and Nick Cohen, founded Upper Echelon Shoes (UES) in 2005. With respective family backgrounds in the footwear and jewelry industries, the duo created a concept they have coined “Shoewelry.” Campbell and Cohen created the UES brand to elevate current trends to an upper echelon, through the use of luxury materials, intricate styling and jewelry hardware. Longtime sneaker enthusiasm led the design duo to see a void in the retro sneaker market. The prices charged for exclusive footwear did not seem to be justified by the materials and construction used by the many brands that inspired Campbell and Cohen. So, the friends set out to design their own line of sneakers. Since then, UES has positioned itself as a pioneer in the footwear industry and is poised to continue revealing new designs to meet the increasing demand for “Shoewelry!”
